OnfuegO is a small, private company that started out as an independent motion graphics design and video production studio. After the dot-com crash, work as we knew it was hard to come by and the founders of OnfuegO went their separate ways. That was then. Over the past year, OnfuegO has re-invented itself. We took our skills and applied them to creating this site for the collective "we". We have done this on our own time, in between our day jobs, training for triathlons, taking out the trash, and painting the house... literally! The creators behind the site have many years of experience delivering high-end business, technical and customer oriented solutions for picky, fickle, smart, and innovative clients. It was time we used our skills and experience for something WE are passionate about. And can we tell you it's great to be excited about something again!

The name OnfuegO comes from a phrase that evolved out of consulting work for our past clients. One designer would exclaim to another, "Man, you are on Fuego with that design!" Or, someone else would say, "In that presentation, you were so on Fuego!" Since then, the name stuck, as did the culture of providing positive feedback and constructive criticism. Putting yourself out on the line, along with your creativity, has tremendous rewards. You create, you share, you get feedback, and you grow. In the process, you undoubtedly inspire others as well. This is what it means to be OnfuegO! Everyone can create and share their ideas and work, give and receive feedback, and help grow and elevate the community.

As we look around to the state of the industry, we are amazed at the talent that is out there. The talent is staggering; animators, editors, producers, writers, amateur video artists, you, me... You name it. There are so many great ideas and people are out there creating all the time. Even industry veterans that have 'made it' still like to do quirky things on the side too. The only problem has been that, until now, there was no place to come together easily and share your work as part of a larger group. So the question kept coming up, "Now that I'm done editing my short film, what should I do with it?" Sure, you can put it on your personal Web site, but then what? How do other people find it? How do you find other people that want to do the same thing? How do you stay connected to see what they've been creating? And for those people that you think are interesting and inspiring, what do THEY think is cool, and what have THEY been up to?

At OnfuegO, we really wanted to create something that puts YOUR stuff next to other people's stuff. We wanted to create a place that is not bound by a submission process that you have to subject yourself or your work to. "Maybe they'll post it, maybe they won't." Here, there is no anxiety or waiting to see if someone else decides if your work is good enough to post on their "get-discovered-and-you-could-be-the-next-bajillionaire" network. Or, if it fits within their 'image', or is in line with what their advertisers want associated with their products... We're kidding about all that (hmmm). We want this to be your place, where you can't wait to post something before the world passes you by. Or before you lose the thought or the idea. "Quick, finish it and then stick it up there" - check back later and see what people have said about it. Leave some comments yourself about what you see and feel. In the end, it's just US here, showing off our latest creations, our most recent thoughts, having some fun with video and just maybe sharing some powerful messages.

We have lots of ideas about where we think this will go and we look forward to seeing it grow. We're glad you're here and we look forward to your comments, suggestions and feedback.
